Fernanda de Carvalho Panzeri Pires-de-Souza graduated in Dentistry, Ribeirão Preto Dental School, University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 1988. She concluded the Master (1994) and PhD Degree (1999) in Dentistry (Graduate Program of Oral Rehabilitation) by FORP and Pos-Doc on University of Florida, College of Dentistry - USA (2017). Since 2002 is a Professor in the Department of Dental Materials and Prosthodontics, where she became Full Professor (2019). She is a Researcher Fellow of CNPq since 2013, level 2. She has coordinated and participated in several research projects funded by FAPESP. She is "ad hoc" advisor of FAPESP (since 2008), CAPES (since 2010), and CNPq since 2013, as well as many other Journals. She has supervised Graduate Students (Masters and PhD degrees) at Graduate Program of Oral Rehabilitation of the Department of Dental Materials and Prosthodontics, which was Coordinator from 2010 to 2014, and Program of Pediatric Dentistry at Faculty of Dentistry of Ribeirao Preto/USP. She supervised 5 Postdoctoral training. She has been Culture and Extension Committee Chair since 2020. She is the Head of LaABio Research Group - Biomaterials Analysis Laboratory, that has worked on the development of innovative materials and quality control of dental materials on the market. Her main research area is Dental Materials, with emphasis on esthetic restorative materials, adhesion and remineralizing biomaterials, with complete several articles published in specialized papers presented at events and journals.
