Paulo Augusto Raymundo Pereira is Chemistry with Master's degree in Chemistry from the Universidade Estadual Paulista ''Júlio de Mesquita Filho'' (UNESP - São José do Rio Preto Campus) and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos). He completed a research internship abroad at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joseph Wang. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the São Carlos Institute of Physics at the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osvaldo N. Oliveira Jr. He has published approximately 60 articles in specialized journals. These works have received approximately 3,613 citations (h factor = 40, data from May 2026). He has experience in Chemistry and Biotechnology, working primarily on the following topics: wearable sensors, flexible sensors, electroanalysis, electrochemical sensors and biosensors, nanostructured materials, biosensing, and nanostructured films. He is a journal reviewer for 110 specialized journals. He received an award for best paper presented at an international conference from the Brazilian Meeting on Inorganic Chemistry (BMIC) and two awards at a national conference from the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ).
