She earned her Bachelor?s degree in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1978), her Master?s degree in Process She earned her Bachelor?s degree (Materials Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos, 1978), Master?s degree in (Process Engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba 1981) and r Doktor-Ingenieur degree from (RWTH Aachen University - Germany, 1986). She is currently an Full Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos in the area of ceramics. Vice-head of DEMa - UFSCar (2004 2006). Vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPG-CEM) at UFSCar (2009-2012). She supervised 25 masters and 22 doctors. Author of more than 200 articles published in indexed journals. She works in the development, optimization and characterization of nanomaterials and ceramic nanostructures and in microwave processing of ceramics. It was included in the book "Successful Women Ceramic and Engineers - 100 Inspirational Profiles" by Lynnette D. Madsen. Honorable mention at the 61st Brazilian Ceramics Congress, in 2017. Winner of the "Science and Technology of São Carlos" Award in 2017. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
