Matias C. Salomão graduated in Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) (2011), having completed his residency in Infectious Diseases at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP (HCFMUSP) (2016) and a PhD in Infectious Diseases from FMUSP ( 2020), investigating colonization by carbapenem-resistant enterobacteria in the emergency room and intensive care units. He currently works at the Hospital Infection Control Subcommittee of the Central Institute of HC-FMUSP as an infectious disease specialist and at Fleury Medicina e Saúde as a microbiology and infectology consultant. Collaborating Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at the School of Medicine, University of São Paulo. Researcher of the Laboratório de Investigação Médica em Protozoologia, Bacteriologia e Resistência Antimicrobiana (LIM49). He is interested in research in Infectious Diseases, with an emphasis on antimicrobial resistance, microbiology, infection control and hospital epidemiology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
