Holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2007), a master's degree in Applied Immunology and Parasitology from the Federal University of Uberlândia (2009), and a Ph.D. in Biosciences from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2013). Completed a "sandwich" Ph.D. at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom (2012). Currently, he is an assistant professor at the Federal University of Rondonópolis. Has experience in the fields of Virology, Immunology, Immunovirology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics, focusing mainly on the following topics: hepatitis C virus (HCV), respiratory viruses (FLU/SARS/hMPV/RSV), and arboviruses (YFV/DENV/ZIKV).
