Marcos César de Oliveira

He has obtained a BSc in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (1992), Master in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (1994) and Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (1999). Conducted a post-doctorate at the University of Queensland, Australia (1999-2001), and the Federal University of São Carlos (2001-2004). He is full professor at the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and has been a visiting professor at the Institute for Quantum Information Science at the University of Calgary from 2011 to 2012. He has experience in physics, with emphasis on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, acting on the following topics: state entanglement in continuous variables, controlled collisions of atoms in condensates trapped in optical lattices, fundamental aspects of quantum information theory, and investigation of potential physical systems for implementation of quantum computation. He was Graduate Program Coordinator at the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics from 2016 to 2021, President of the Forum of Graduate Coordinators in Physics and Astronomy from 2019 to 2021, Vice-Coordinator of the Unified Physics Examination (EUF) from 2016 to 2019 and coordinator of the same from 2019 to July 2021.
