Agricultural Eng graduated at ESALQ/USP, with master's and PhD in agrometeorology at the same institution. He has 20 years of experience, working for Embrapa, PUC-Campinas, FGV, University of Florida and University of Nebraska-Lincoln along this time. Based on crop modelling and agrometeorology concepts, his research areas are focused on climatic risk, future agricultural scenarios and yield-gap analysis. He is also a software developer, being responsible for SAMUCA, a process-based crop model for sugarcane and for System TEMPOCAMPO-ESALQ, which provides support for harvest forecast and management tools for sugarcane, soybean and corn crops for all Brazil.
