Dr. Anna Peixoto has been a professor of Environmental and Civil Engineering Department at UNESP-São Paulo State University, Brazil, since March 2003. Formal Education/Degree: Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering (University of Campinas-UNICAMP, Brazil); Master s in Geotechnics (University of São Paulo-USP, Brazil); Graduation in Civil Engineering (University of Campinas-UNICAMP, Brazil). She teaches control surveys to civil engineering besides environmental geotechnics at graduate and undergraduate level. The main topics of her currently researches are related to environmental geotechnics: hazard mapping of natural and technological disasters; and in situ tests for geotechnical and geo-environmental purposes. She was the gear of the Technical Committee for Research Field (2014-2016), Brazilian Association of Soil Mechanics. She also belongs to Executive Committee for the Study of Standard Penetration Test (SPT) of Brazilian Association of Technical Standards. She is currently the head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of UNESP, Bauru (SP), Brazil. She is also currently president of the IX GeoJovem and VI South American Conference of Young Geotechnical Engineers, which is part of COBRAMSEG 2020 and will take place in April 2021.
