Birthplace: Brazil

I have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Marine Biology (2011) and Coastal Management (2012) at the São Paulo State University (UNESP - IB/CLP). In 2015, I obtained a master's degree in Evolution and Biodiversity at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC/CCNH), the same institution where I later obtained a doctorate's degree (2021). During my doctorate, between 2019 and 2020, I did a research internship abroad at the School of Ocean Sciences of Bangor University (Menai Bridge, Wales, UK). My main research interests are marine ecology, urban ecology, biological oceanography, and, more importantly, the overlap among such knowledge areas. Thus, I have been developing scientific projects on topics related to benthic-pelagic coupling, trophic interactions, macroecology, scales of spatial variation, and human impacts. Through my research activities, and volunteering on multiple other projects, I have worked directly with laboratory and field experimentation, sampling, processing, and analysis of ecological data from several coastal habitats. In addition to my consolidated experience in experimental design and fieldwork, I developed advanced knowledge in the R programming language, including data manipulation, treatment and analyses, image production, and application of machine learning algorithms. I also have experience in multivariate statistics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
