Associate Professor at the Department of Biomaterials and Oral Biology at FOUSP. Graduated in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (1997), where she also obtained the titles of master (Materials Dental - 1999), PhD (Materials Dental - 2002) and Associate Professor (Biomaterials and Oral Biology - 2010). She was a visiting professor at the University of Minneapolis, USA (7/2009 to 12/2009) and at the University of Sydney, Australia (8/2010 to 8/2011). The research subject is focused on the application of the finite element method in biomechanical failures of interest to Dentistry, with an emphasis on a transdisciplinary approach. Current research projects focus on simulating peri-implant bone resorption and orthodontic root resorption, always seeking to use inputs and outputs that are consistent with the biological mechanisms associated with the resorption under study.
