Recently awarded with a postdoctoral fellowship from CAPES, his current research focuses on the relationship between parasites and anurans behavior. He was also a professor in the Biology department of the Federal University of São Carlos. In 2016 he completed his first postdoctoral project with a FAPESP fellowship. During the last three years he got a specialization on bioacoustics, function and evolution of animal communication, counting with a collaboration from the National Museum of Natural Sciences (Madrid), where he carried out an internship as a visiting researcher.
