The scientist holds a degree in Biology from Mackenzie University (1989), MSc (1994) and PhD in Physiology (2001) from the University of São Paulo (2001). She is currently an associate professor at Mackenzie University. Her laboratory is interested in understanding the behavioral, physiological and molecular changes induced by obesity and hypothyroidism with special attention to processes of socialization, learning, and memory.
