He works on the following subjects: Human Geography: History of Geographic Thought, Geography in the Middle Ages, History of Cartography, Alexander von Humboldt, Concept of Landscape and Geographic Space; Physical Geography: Land Use and Occupation, Land Use in Coastal Areas and Mangrove Zone Dynamics. Member of the Research Group "Geography: Epistemology, History and Environment". He was a member of the Board of Directors of AGB-Campinas (2010-2012), where he served as Event Coordinator.
