Currently, I am Postdoctoral Researcher at Steinmetz Lab (University of California, San Diego), where I develop innovative projects focused on the development of viral nanoparticle platforms for cancer immunotherapies and vaccines. Holding a Ph.D. and Masters degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), I have specialized in physical chemistry and nanotechnology, exploring cutting-edge therapeutic solutions. During my PhD, I developed mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with monoclonal antibodies, achieving promising advancements in targeted treatments for Hodgkins lymphoma and anaplastic large-cell lymphoma. In my postdoctoral work, I have expanded this expertise by applying plant virus-based nanocarriers for intratumoral immunotherapy, generating durable immune responses against tumors. These projects showcase my interdisciplinary approach, integrating nanotechnology, bioengineering, and immunology. Recognized for publications in high-impact scientific journals, including the distinction of having articles featured on journal covers, I also mentor junior researchers and manage collaborative projects. My expertise spans from planning and executing preclinical studies to overseeing laboratory operations, demonstrating my commitment to excellence in translational research.
