Birthplace: Brazil

Animal Scientist graduated from Sao Paulo State University, Brazil. I obtained my Master's and Doctor's degrees from the same Institution, studying fish broodstock nutrition and functional amino acids supplementation, respectively. In 2016, I worked with in vitro analyses under Dr. Delbert Gatlin III supervision at Texas AM University (TX, USA) as part of my doctorate. During two post-doctorates (University of Sao Paulo and Sao Paulo State University, 2017-2021), I had the opportunity to continue working with fish nutrition and health under Dr. Jose Eurico Possebon Cyrino and Dr. Margarida Maria Barros supervisions. I have experience in diet formulation and processing, feeding trials, digestibility assays and evaluation of performance/health enhancing additives, as well as the utilization of agro-industrial co-products in aquafeeds. I have been applying different tools such as hematological analysis, immune system assessment, and antioxidant system activity to better understand the impacts of nutrition on disease resistance and the ability of fish to cope with stress. I am a reviewer of renowned journals in the fish nutrition and health field and have published articles in high impact scientific journals. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas AM University, College Station, TX. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
