He holds a PhD in Economics from FEA-USP and was a visiting scholar at the University of York UK (CAPES-Print). He earned his undergraduate and masters degrees in Economics from the University of São Paulo. He is a Lecturer at Insper, where he teaches Microeconometrics in the undergraduate Economics program, with a focus on applying economic theory and empirical analysis to real-world problems. At the graduate level, he teaches in Inspers Executive MBA in Health and the Masters in Public Policy programs. He is affiliated with national and international research groups such as Health Financing for UHC in Challenging Times (HFACT) and the Núcleo de Saúde e Políticas Públicas at Insper, and has also participated in projects with the Global Health Econometrics and Economics (GHE2) network, Brazilian Women in Economics (EconomistAs), Centro de Políticas Públicas (CPP), Insper Data, and the Instituto de Estudos de Saúde Suplementar (IESS). His work has been published in journals such as Health Economics, Social Science Medicine, Health Policy and Planning, and Economics Human Biology.
