Interdisciplinary researcher working in the areas of environmental biotechnology and molecular biology with a focus on applied bioelectrochemical systems for power generation, wastewater treatment and advanced nitrogen conversion processes. Doctor of Science (Sustainability), in the area of environmental science and technology, from the University of São Paulo, with a sandwich doctorate in the Research Group of Prof. Kartik Chandran (Dept. Environmental Eng.) at Columbia University (USA). He received the award for the best thesis at USP (2021) and an honorable mention at the Capes de Tese Award (2021) in the Multidisciplinary and Environmental Sciences areas, respectively. Master of Science (Public Health), in the area of Environmental Health, from the Faculty of Public Health at USP, with a sandwich master's degree at the Institute of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) - Research Group of Prof. Blanca Jimenez - on the topic of treating landfill leachate with natural and advanced biological processes. Conducted a Postdoctoral project in bioelectrochemical systems within the Research Center for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI), under the supervision of Prof. Julio Romano Meneghini (EP-USP, Mechanical Engineer). He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Anaerobic Nucleus for the Treatment and Use of Waste, Effluents and Nutrients (NATUREN) at the USP Polytechnic School, where he works on topics related to bioelectrochemistry and nitrogen conversion. He has experience in several projects in the area of environmental biotechnologies financed by CNPq, FAPESP, FINEP, SHELL. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
