Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1985) e doutorado em Ciências da Saúde pela Faculdade de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto (2004). É Pesquisador Científico VI na Superintendência de Controle de Endemias -SUCEN. Tem experiência na área de Saúde Coletiva, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: epidemiologia da Dengue e da Leihsmaniose Visceral; Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus e flebotomíneos.
