Nivaldo Antonio Parizotto graduated in Physiotherapy at PUC Campinas, master's degree in Physiology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School (USP) and completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the State University of Campinas in 1998. He completed his Postdoctoral studies at Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston (USA). He is currently a SENIOR TITLE PROFESSOR at the Federal University of São Carlos, a visiting professor at the Physiotherapy Department at the Federal University of Paraíba in João Pessoa and is a professor at UNIARA in PPG-Biotechnology (Regenerative Medicine and Medicinal Chemistry) and a collaborating professor at PPG-Engenharia Biomedical University of Brazil. He was a researcher 1-B at CNPq. He published 217 articles in specialized journals and 121 papers in the annals of events. He has edited 2 books and has 6 book chapters published. It has 2 technological products, 4 software and 2 other items of technical production. He has been in more than 140 master's and more than 70 doctoral boards. He participated in several events abroad and many others in Brazil. He supervised 22 master's dissertations and co-supervised 8, supervised 25 doctoral theses and co-supervised 3 doctoral theses, in addition to supervising 28 scientific initiation works and 48 course completion works in the areas of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Engineering Biomedical and Medicine. He has been invited to lectures and training courses in several national institutions and abroad. He has taught courses in the USA, Portugal, Costa Rica, Argentina, Peru, France, among others. He received 9 awards and / or honors. He currently coordinates 8 research projects. He was department head for two terms and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course (two terms). He has served on UFSCar's senior councils (ConsUni and CEPE) on several occasions. Operates in the areas of Physiotherapy, Bioengineering and Biotechnology. In his professional activities, he interacted with 258 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works. He was the founder and first president of the Human Research Ethics Committee (CEP-UFSCar) and the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (CEEA-UFSCar). He was a member of COFFITO's Education Commission and alternate advisor and member of CREFITO-3's Physiotherapy Ethics Committee. He was a member of the board of ADUFSCar (union section of UFSCar professors). He was nominated to form the International Scientific Committee of the World Association for Laser Therapy (WALT). Founding member of the International Society for Electro Physical Agents in Rehabilitation (ISEPA) and the Association of Physiotherapy Magazine Editors, linked to the World Confederation for Physical Therapy.
