Elisa Mauro Peixoto Prado

Elisa Peixoto is Biologist, with master's degree in Cell Biology in the Institute of Structural Biology, State University of Campinas (2003), and Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine - Basic Sciences in Faculty of Medical Sciences - State University of Campinas (2010). Currently, she is developing research projects at the Laboratory of Renal Pathophysiology - Diabetes Complication, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Campinas State University, as a postdoctoral fellow. Conducted research internship as a postoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, St. Michael's Hospital - Toronto, Canada. She is specialized in morphology, histology, molecular biology, pathophysiology of diabetic nephropathy. She has experience in animal handling, animal cell culture, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, chemiluminescence, Western blot, gene transfection, siRNA and others experimental techniques.
