Graduate in Chemical Engineering at Federal University of São Carlos (1995), master (1998) and Ph.D. (2003) in Chemical Engineering at Federal University of São Carlos. Post-doctorate in the Department of Chemistry (UFSCar, 2005) and Water Science and Engineering Laboratory (University of Wisconsin - Madison, 2013). Full professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering, UFSCar, working on electrosorption, adsorption, and electrochemical engineering, applied to the treatment of effluents containing heavy metals and organic pollutants, desalination, water electrolysis and CO2 conversion to chemicals. The subject of interest are: Capacitive deionization, electrochemical processes and reactors, metal recovery, electrooxidation of organic pollutants, electrochemical processes to obtain industrial chemicals, and materials development for these processes.
