Associate Professor in the Department of Information Engineering of the Università degli Studi di Brescia, Italia. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Mechatronics (1998), professional experience with electronic development of industrial instrumentation and installation and maintenance of robotics applied to biomedicine, Master and Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering in the subject Industrial Automation (2000 and 2005) by EESC-USP. His main research interests are Industrial Automation, Industrial Networks and IoT Connectivity with applications in several areas. He published articles in these areas, some of them awarded in conferences organized by the IEEE. Former professor at the São Carlos School of Engineering, University of São Paulo (EESC-USP) from 2006 to 2023, Visiting Researcher (2010) at the International Computer Science Institute at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, in a project related to Wireless Sensor Networks for Smart Cities, invited professor for the Master's course in Industrial Automation at the National University of Asunción - Paraguay (2011-2013) and visiting professor at the School of Mines at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) with the Professional Master's Program in Instrumentation, Control and Mining Process Automation (PROFICAM) coordinated by EM-UFOP and the VALE Technological Institute - ITV (2021). Evaluates projects for national research development agencies FAPESP and FACEPE. He was coordinator of the Profibus and Profinet Training and Competence Center in São Carlos - SP from 2007 to 2019.
