Obtained Endocrinology and Metabolism specialist title from the School of Medicine, UNESP , Botucatu-SP (1992) and Ph.D. in Endocrinology from the University of São Paulo (1998). Worked as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine-UNESP-Botucatu (1993-2006). Performed postdoctoral projects at Cedars Sinai Medical Center (2000-202) and at the University of Southern California (2008-2011) (Los Angeles-CA). Worked as a Project Scientist at the Obesity and Diabetes Research Institute - Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles-CA (2011-2012). Served as a Professor of Endocrinology at Centro Universitário Barão de Mauá, Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. Worked as a collaborator in Diabetes Mellitus and Bariatric Surgery Clinics at School of Medicine, USP-Ribeirão Preto. Collaborates with research activities in the same fields. Currently, works as a Scientist at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, USA. Experience in the medical field (assistance, teaching and research), with emphasis on Endocrinology, focusing on the following topics: pituitary and other endocrine tumors, obesity, diabetes mellitus.
