Full Professor at the Department of Philosophy and General Theory of Law at the School of Law of the University of São Paulo. I was also Professor of Political Philosophy, Ethics and Legal Theory at the School of Law of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2003-2022) and Prosecutor of the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo (1989-2020). I was a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Law School (1994-1996) and Visiting Researcher at Yale Law School (2002) and was a postdoctoral fellow at Kings College of London (2008-2009).Degrees in both law (1985) and social sciences (1987), masters degree in philosophy (1993) and PhD in law (1997), all by the University of São Paulo. I have expertise in legal philosophy, with emphasis in legal positivism and post-legal positivism, law and development. I also worked on Contracts, Consumer Law and Environmental Law.
