Graduated in PHYSICAL EDUCATION from the Federal University of Uberlândia - UFU (1989), specialization in Physical Education for People with Special Needs from UFU, PhD in Psychobiology from the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP (1997) and Free Teaching from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2007) and the Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP (2009). He is a Full Professor at the Department of Sports, Faculty of Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (EEFFTO) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He has experience in the field of Sleep, Sleep Disorders, Drowsiness, Fatigue, Accidents, Exercise Physiology and Sports Training. He is a master's and doctoral advisor for the postgraduate programs at UFMG and UNIFESP. He is also Technical Director of the Center for Studies in Psychobiology and Exercise (CEPE) and the Multidisciplinary Center for Sleepiness and Accidents (CEMSA). He is currently an alternate member of the Advisory Committee, of the Multidisciplinary area in Health (CA-MS), of CNPq. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
