Graduate at Bacharelado in Physics from Physics Institute of Universidade de São Paulo, IF-USP (1981), master's in Physics from IF-USP (1985) and Phd at Physic from IF-USP (1991). Postdoctorate at University of Maryland, College Park, E.U.A. (1996-1997), and a Senior Research visiter at Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" (2010/11). Professor since 1992 at Federal Fluminense University in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, moved in 2005 to the Physics Department of the Fundamental Science Division at Aeronautics Institute of Technology in Sâo José dos Campos, São Paulo State, Brazil, and since October of 2014 is Full Professor of Physics. Has experience in Physic and Astrophysics, acting on the following subjects: nuclear matter and relativistic nuclear physics, hadronic physics and quarks, hot and dense hadronic and nuclear matter, relativistic astrophysics, pulsar magnetosphere and electromagnetic emission models, and more recently in plasma physics regarding ionosphere plasma instabilities.
