graduated in Physics at Universidade de São Paulo (1991), Master in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1993), Ph.d. in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1997), post-doc at the Department of Biology in Universtiy of Virginia (1999-2000) and at the Department of Applied Physics at Universidade de São Paulo (2001-2006). Now professor at Departamento de Fisiologia, Instituto de Biociências, Universidade de São Paulo, and Investigador Correspondiente of CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, Argentina) since 2014, acting on the following subjects: chronobiology, coupled oscillators, synchronization, photoperiodism, mathematical models, suprachiasmatic nucleus and circadian rhythms.
