Dr. Simai studied social psychology at the University of London and received her Ph.D degree at Birkbeck College, University of London in 2008. She is a Former UNESCO Fellow and academic director of the School for International Training's Brazil program. Prior to that Dr Simai worked on researches in Europe as well as in Latin America and completed a FAPESP post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Campinas in Brazil. She holds another post-graduate degree in 'English as Means of Instruction for Academics' from the University of Southampton and she has published widely in the field of international migration, interculturalism, international studies and on qualitative research methodologies.
