Full Professor and current Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNESP- Ilha Solteira. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering [S. Carlos] from the University of São Paulo (1989), with a master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering [S. Carlos] from the University of São Paulo (1993) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering [S. Carlos] from the University of São Paulo (1997). He is or was an advisor to some journals, including: Journal of Materials Science, Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, Industrial Lubrication and Tribology. He has experience in the area of Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Machines, Engines and Equipment, working mainly on the following topics: Tribology, Oil Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Predictive Maintenance, Particle Analysis and Mechanical Systems Design. Coordinated research projects from FINEP, CNPq (Universal), FAPESP (5), Fundunesp (Foundation for the Development of Unesp), Fepisa (Foundation for Teaching, Research and Extension of Ilha Solteira) and Proex (Pro-rectorate of Extension University of Unesp).
