Abstract
The Laurencia complex is highly diverse in number of genera and species, and it currently comprises eight genera: Laurencia sensu stricto, Osmundea, Chondrophycus, Palisada, Yuzurua, Laurenciella, Ohelopapa and Corynecladia.
