Eduardo Toledo Santos is an Electrical Engineer (Electronics major), Master in Electrical Engineering (Digital Systems) and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering (Electronic Systems), all titles from Escola Politécnica of University of São Paulo. Currently is an Assistant Professor at Escola Politécnica of University of São Paulo, Chair of the Professional Master Program on Construction Innovation (USP), Chair of BIM Objects WG of CEE-134 of Brazilian Standards Association - ABNT, Director at BIM Forum Brazil, Communications Director at ANTAC, member of ASCE Global Center of Excellence in Computing, alternate member of the board of directors of International Society for Computing in Civil and Building Engineering, member of BIM Technical Committee of ISCCBE, member of Working Commission W78 (IT in Construction) of CIB - Intl. Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction and director for the Americas of ISGG - International Society for Geometry and Graphics. Published more than 200 papers in journals and conference proceedings. Wrote 7 book chapters and published/edited 10 books. Organized 12 events e attended more than one hundred in Brasil and abroad. Supervised 18 masters and 4 Ph.D., and 22 scientific initiation students in the areas of Civil Engineering, Education, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science. Was awarded 12 prizes. Participated of 16 research projects. Develops research on the Civil Engineering area, with emphasis on Information Technology, especially : Building Information Modeling (BIM),Virtual reality, Information Technology, Distance Learning, Building Engineering, Geometry, Design Graphics, Internet, Computer Graphics.
