Alexander Herzen is the author of an autobiography entitled "My Past and Thoughts", which was considered his masterpiece. This work is an interesting object of studies both for Literary and Historical fields. This research aims to analyze "My Past and Thoughts", as well the methodological and theoretical issues related to that, for example, the autobiographical genre.
