Has habilitation (professorship) at the University of São Paulo (2017), PhD in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at the University of São Paulo (2005), Masters in Computer Science at Federal University of São Carlos (2000), Degree in Technology in Data Processing at the University of Ribeirão Preto (1995) and graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of São Paulo (1986). He is currently Associate Professor of the Department of Computing and Mathematics of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Languages of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, working with the undergraduate courses of Computer Sciences and Biomedical Informatics and graduate with the Applied Computing and Bioengineering Programs. He has experience in the areas of Computer Science and Information Technology in Health, with emphasis on Database and Image Processing, working mainly in the research areas of Bioimage Informatics and Computer-Aided Diagnosis, in which he conducts studies aimed at developing methods and techniques for processing and analyzing biological images, including complex networks applications.
