He holds a bachelor's degree in Geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP - Rio Claro Campus (1990), a Master's Degree in Human Geography (1996) and a Ph.D. in Human Geography (2001) both from the University of São Paulo - FFLCH/USP. He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Department of Geography at the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. He held positions as Associate Director of the Institute of Geosciences (IG), Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Geography, Head of the Department of Geography of the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. Has a professional experience (EMPLASA, ISA, IBAMA) and academic (UnB, UEPG) in the area of Geography, with emphasis on Urban-Regional Planning and Geoprocessing. He coordinates the Geotechnologies Applied to the Management of Territory research group - GeoGet.
