PhD in Portuguese Culture from the University of Lisbon (1998), she was a fellow of the CNPq's Recém-Doctor Program at UNESP-Campus de Araraquara, from 1999 to 2001. Recent Doctors - PRODOC/CAPES, from 2003 to 2007, at UNESP-Campus de Franca. She is a Full Professor in Medieval History at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP / Franca) and currently her research and publications are on: the writing of history in the Middle Ages; European voyages between the 13th and 15th centuries; and forms and manifestations of Christian morality in the Iberian kingdoms of the 14th and 15th centuries. She is Brazilian Corresponding Scholar of the Portuguese Academy of History; coordinator of the Luso-Brazilian Group ?Medieval Roots of Modern Brazil?; one of the coordinators of the ?Writings on New Worlds? Group (FAPESP Thematic Project Grant 2015-2021), based at UNESP/Franca; and is a member of the Center for Ancient and Medieval Studies NEAM at UNESP/Assis/Franca. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
