Ana received her PhD degree in Chemistry from UCSD (CA/USA) in 2003, after receiving Masters degrees in Chemistry and Physics, from UPenn (PA/USA), and USP (SP/BR) in 2000 and 1997, respectively. Her research work has encompassed hardware development for biophysical studies, with emphasis on optical tweezers and NMR probe development, and applications of NMR spectroscopy to biological systems. Since early 2016 she is a researcher at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory, part of CNPEM, in Campinas, Brazil, developing a new experimental station for Sirius, the 4th generation Synchrotron Light Source at CNPEM. The beamline is dedicated to Protein Crystallography and is currently under scientific commissioning. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
