Graduated in 1981 from the Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo, she received a Master's degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1988 and Ph.D. in Pediatric Dentistry in 1993, both degrees obtained in Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo. From 1982 to 1984, worked in Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at the Craniofacial Rehabilitation Hospital (HRAC/Centrinho/USP). She was a Pediatric Dentist at the HRAC/Centrinho/USP from 1984 to 1990. Since July 1990 she has been a professor in the Discipline of Pediatric Dentistry at the Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo, since 2009 as a Full Professor. From June 2002 to May 2006, he was Vice-President of the Graduate Committee of the Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo. From June 2006 to May 2010 he was President of the Graduate Committee of the Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo. From March/2010 to March 2014 she held the position of Vice-Dean of the Bauru School of Dentistry at University of São Paulo. From March/2014 to March/2018 she was Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry of Bauru / USP. From January/2016 to March/2018 she get the position of Superintendent of the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Craniofacial Anomalies (Centrinho)/USP. In March/2018, she assumed the position of Pro-Rector of Culture and Extension of the University of São Paulo with a term of office until 01/25/2022. He is President of the Brazilian Association of Pediatric Dentistry (ABOPED NACIONAL) mandate 2020/2021. She is an "Ad hoc" consultant for CAPES, CNPq and FAPESP. He has experience in Dentistry, with an emphasis on Pediatric Dentistry, working mainly in the following lines of research: tissue bioengineering with emphasis on dental pulp, deciduous teeth stem cells (SHED), photonic therapies in Dentistry with emphasis on use of laser and LEDs (PDT and tissue biomodulation), craniofacial growth and development of cleft and non-cleft patients.
