Associate Professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo (Department of Modern Languages and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences, FFLCH). Bachelor's degree in Literature with a mention in Philosophy - Universidad de Chile (1980), Master's degree in Spanish American Literature from the University of São Paulo (1989) and PhD in Spanish American Literature from the University of São Paulo (1996), both under the supervision of Professor Dr. Jorge Schwartz. Professor Hosiasson was visiting professor at the Universities of Córdoba, Chile, Buenos Aires and Leuven (Belgium). In addition to several articles in specialized journals, she published the book Nation and Imagination in the War of the Pacific (Edusp, 2012), translated Julio Ramón Ribeyro (Cosac Naify, 2007) and Maria Luisa Bombal with an afterword (Cosac Naify, 2013) and published an afterword for the first Portuguese translation of Silvina Ocampo (Companhia das Letras, 2019). She has supervised master's and doctoral investigations and developed research in the area of Hispanic American Literature, working mainly in the following fields: Chilean literature, Literary Nationalism of the nineteenth century and contemporary Hispanic-American literature.
