I majored on Greek and Latin Languages at The Univeridade de São Paulo (1990) and I obtained master and doctorate degrees on Classics in 1996 and 2003, respectively, at same University. I taught Latin Literature and Language at some private universities and at The Universidade Estadual Júlio de Mesquita Filho at Assis/São Paulo. Besides that. I taught Portuguese Language and Literature at some High Schools in São Paulo also. Currently, Im Professor at Universidade de São Paulo at the Department of Classic and Vernacular Languages and Literature, teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, supervising both Master and Doctorate students. I was Vice-President of The Brazilian Society of Classical Studies (2010-2011), also President of Editorial Board of Classica (Brasil), the journal of the same Society, and I was its editor. I was chair of the Graduate Program of Classic Languages and Literatures/USP (2009-2011). I was Visiting Researcher at Kings College London (KCL) at The University of London, with sponsorship of FAPESP (2012), developing a study on poetical visualities (ekphrasis and phantasia). I am a researcher at the Program of Advanced Studies on Antiquitys Representations (PROAERA) at The Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and member of the group research Rhetoric and Artistic Doctrines (USP/CNPq). Currently Im coordinator of Nucleus of Research Imagines Antiquitatis Classicae IAC at The Universidade de São Paulo (USP), certified by both The Brazilian Society of Classical Studies (SBEC, affiliated to FIEC) and The National Council of Research (CNPq). I am a member of the Deliberative and Advisory Council of Brazilian Society of Rhetoric (affiliated ALR and ISHR). Im affiliated to ICS (Institute of Classical Studies, London). I published four books: Imagem e Poder, considerações sobre a representação de Otávio Augusto by Editora da Universidade de São Paulo (2012); Algumas Visões da Antiguidade by 7Letras/Faperj (2011); Literatura Latina by IESDE (2010) e Elegia Romana - Construção e Efeito pela Humanitas (2009) by more than forty papers.
