Ney Lemke was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1969. He received the Physics degree and the Ph.D. degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in 1990 and 1997, respectively. He made his Sandwich-Phd under the supervision of Ian A. Campbell at Université Paris Sud at Orsay -France in 1995. Since 2005, Lemke serves as full Professor at Instituto de Biociências-Unesp. Since 2007, Lemke is Member of Núcleo de Computação Científica at Unesp where he is in charge of defining and implementing policies for helping users to access GridUnesp facilities. He participates on General Biology and Genetics graduate programs at Unesp. He is president of the Information Technology Committee at Instituto de Biociências Unesp. He is Member of the Brazilian Physical Society and Brazilian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society and a Former Junior Associate at ICTP. He is editor of ISRN Bioinformatics. His research interests include Bioinformatics, Complex Networks, High Performance Computing and Complex Systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
