Full Professor at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo - IAU USP. Editor of the journal Gestão e Tecnologia de Projetos (2006 - present). Leader of the research group Architecture, Innovation and Technology - Arquitec IAU USP. Works as coordinator of the Architecture and Urbanism area at FAPESP (April 2024 - present). Visiting at the Polytechnic of Milan - Italy (April - September 2024) and at the University of Huddersfield - England (February - March 2020), both with a Senior Visiting Professor scholarship from the CAPES PrInt. PhD in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP (2002), Master in Architecture and Urbanism from EESC USP (1996), Civil Engineer from the Federal University of São Carlos (1993). He served as President of the National Association of Built Environment Technology - ANTAC (10/2012-11/2014), Director of Interinstitutional Relations of ANTAC (10/2010 to 10/2012), Member of the Fiscal Council of the National Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Architecture and Urbanism - ANPARQ (2013-2014). He was the Academic Coordinator of the Interinstitutional Doctorate between IAU USP and the State Universities of Maringá and Londrina - DINTER IAU-UEM-UEL (Dec. 2011- Mar. 2016). At IAU USP, he served as President of the Research Committee (Nov. 2015 to May. 2018), President of the Committee of the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism (Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2015), Vice-President of the Committee of Graduate Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (Oct. 2011 to Nov. 2013), Member of the Faculty Senate of IAU USP (Dec. 2011 to May 2018 and jul. 2022 to present). At EESC USP, he was responsible for the Coordination of the Undergraduate Course in Architecture and Urbanism (10/2003 to 9/2006). He coordinated several research projects, including: INOVATEC-FINEP Network, involving ten Brazilian teaching and research institutions, with funding from FINEP between 2011-2018; HBIM and Digital Documentation of Modern Architectural Heritage (Universal Call 2019 - Feb. 2023); Evidence-based design in the context of controlling the COVID-19 pandemic (FAPESP regular research grant - Jul. 2021 - Feb. 2024); Enabling evidence-based design: guidelines for the development of the integrated hospitalization and construction model of digital twins (SPRINT FAPESP - Mar. 2023 - Feb. 2024). As a collaborating researcher, he participated in the projects: The design process in architecture: from theory to technology (Fapesp Thematic); Glass House: an icon of modern architecture and conservation (The Getty Foundation); among others. He frequently acts as an advisor to FAPESP, CNPq, CAPES and as an ad hoc reviewer of national and international scientific journals.
