Mariângela Spotti Lopes Fujita

Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1992), Professor (2003) in Documentary Analysis and Alphabetical Documentary Languages, Full Professor of the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP from 2010 to 2017. Realized teaching, research, extension, focusing on Indexing and Indexing Languages, as well as management and teaching in the undergraduate program in Library and Archives of UNESP - Campus de Marília from 1980 to February 2017. Currently provides voluntary services in teaching post-graduation, research, and extension at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences of UNESP - Marília Campus. She is a post-graduate professor in the line of research "Production and Information Organization" of the Program in Information Science of UNESP. As a Researcher, she works in the Research Groups "Thematic Representation of Information" (leader) and "Reading, organization, representation, production, and use of information - UFPB". She develops research activities at UNESP with Research Productivity grant from CNPq level 1B. She is a member of the Scientific Societies of her specialty: ANCIB National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Information Science and the Brazilian Chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organization ISKO, in Brazil and abroad of the ISKO International Society for KnowledgeOrganization. Professionally served as Coordinator of the General Coordination of Libraries of UNESP from April 1999 to January 2005. She was Director of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences of UNESP - Marília Campus (2008/2012); Pro-University Extension Dean of UNESP (2013/2017); Member of the Permanent Evaluation Committee of UNESP; Member of the Teaching Contracting Commission of UNESP; Member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Periodicals of UNESP, Advisor to the Office of the Rector of UNESP for Library Affairs, Vice-Coordinator of PPGCI of UNESP - Marília Campus and member of several local and central colleges of UNESP. At CNPq, she served as Advisor and Chair of the Committee on Communication, Arts and Information Science from 2012 to 2017. She is currently Supervisor of the Public Policy Institute of Marília and Chair of the Permanent Commission of Publications of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences of UNESP. She is ad hoc advisor of development agencies and participates as a reviewer and member of Scientific Committees of events and scientific journals in Information Science in Brazil and abroad.
