Bachelor's on Physiotherapy from University Ribeirão Preto (1995), master's at Public Health from Nursing School of Ribeirão Preto-University of São Paulo (2000) and doctorate on Public Health from Nursing School of Ribeirão Preto-University of São Paulo (2004). She is a professor at the Department of Health Sciences of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School-USP, responsible for the area of Women´s Health Physiotherapy, investigating physiotherapy interventions related to women´s pelvic floor, pregnancy and postpartum period. Participated of a post-doctorate felowship at Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne/Australia in 2013, and became an Associate Professor in 2017. Founder and former President of the Brazilian Association of Physiotherapy in Women's Health (ABRAFISM), she is currently Scientific Director of this Association and Chief Delegate Representative of Brazil at the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Pelvic and Women's Health (IOPTPWH) a subgroup of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT) and an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy in the women´s health area.
