Graduated in Nutrition from São Camilo University (1984), Master in Biological Sciences from Federal University of São Paulo (1989), PhD in Biological Sciences from Federal University of São Paulo (1994) and Professor in Public Health from School of Public Health, University of Sao Paulo (2005). Her career as a researcher and advisor (she has graduated 24 masters, 12 doctors and 5 pos-doc). From several research projects, conducted with support from national and international funding agencies and collaboration with other researchers, resulted 9 books, 34-chapter books and more than 245 publications of scientific articles (Web of Science Research ID (Publons): h-Index= 31; SCOPUS: h-index= 34; Scholar Google: h-index = 55). She has been a Federal Research Foundation (CNPq) research productivity fellow level 1C and is the leader of the research groups directory, since 2003 ( She is a member of the editorial board of the Brazilian Journal of Epidemiology and the Journal of Nutrition and has served as a regular reviewer for national and international journals. She integrated the Working Group on Nutrition and Foods for Special Purposes (GTNFSDU) of Codex Alimentarius, ANVISA, between 2011 and 2017.
