Free professor of Special Education (UNESP), PhD in Education (UNESP), Master in Special Education (UFSCar), Pedagogue (USP). Leader of the Research Group on Social Inclusion - GEPIS, in partnership with Maria Candida Soares Del Masso and coordinator of the Group of Political and Pedagogical Studies on Inclusion - GEPPI. It acts from the perspective of historical-cultural theory and develops research based on the instrumental or genetic-causal method based on Vygotsky. It has regular publication of books, chapters and scientific articles, national and international on subjects of its area. He published the book "A forgotten dialogue: the turn and the voice of adolescents with disabilities", with several reprints, organized the book "School Inclusion: Special Education Contributions" in 2008 and reprint in 2011 in partnership with Sadao Omote And Claudia Mosca Giroto. In 2013, he published the book "Pedagogical Assessment: Focus on Intellectual Disability in an Inclusive Perspective", in co-authoring with Fernanda Dourado Valentim and Luis Henrique Silva and the book "Individual Development Plan and Specialized Educational Attendance", coauthored and both published by Editora Of Unesp. In 2014, he organized the book "Pedagogical Practices in Special Education: Towards an Inclusive School", published by Editora da Universidad de Alcalá - Spain, and currently works for the publication of a book on schooling in the area of intellectual disability, in the organization Three books, several chapters and articles in process. It is worth highlighting the idealization and elaboration of the "Reference for Assessment of Learning in the area of intellectual disability", for Elementary School, cycles 1 and 2 and for Youth and Adult Education - EJA (RAADI cycle I, cycle II and EJA) . In terms of management was indicated as the third name in order of succession to replace the direction of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences, for four years he served as vice-coordinator of the Post-Graduation Program in Education, concept 5 by CAPES. She worked as a pedagogical advisor in the Special Education Division of the Education Department of the Municipality of São Paulo and followed the application of RAADI-cycle I in the municipal education network of São Paulo. Has experience in the coordination of specialization courses, in partnership with the São Paulo Municipal and State Department of Education, in the face-to-face and semi-presential modalities, with the use of Distance Learning (EaD) resources, in the Special Education area and specifically in Intellectual disability. He coordinates an international and interinstitutional project involving the University of Havana (Cuba), Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro) and the Paulista State University, Marília campus. She has experience in Education, with emphasis on special education and inclusive education, focusing on school curriculum, pedagogical evaluation, teacher training, specialized educational service, educational policy.
