Is Associate Professor in Televisual Communications at Universidade Estadual Paulista Unesp, in Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil. Professor of Social Communications department, teaches qualification in Radio and TV. Director of TV Unesp since September 2010. Permanent Teacher in two different master?s programs: Social Communications and Digital Television, both at Unesp. Is PhD in Communications and Semiotics by PUC/SP, with developed academic analysis about audiovisual language and television aesthetics. Degree in Journalism and History, worked at TV stations such TV Globo and Rede Manchete and former vice-president from Compós (National Association of Communications Master?s Degree) from 2007 to 2009. Coordinator of Unesp Postgraduate Programs in Communication from 2004 to 2007 and main director of Cultural and Educational Radio and Television Center from 1993 to 1998. Actual vice-president of SOCICOM (Brazilian Federation of Scientific and Academic Communications Association) and Coordinator of television and video research group of Intercom (Brazilian Society of Interdisciplinary Studies of Communication). In research activities, is the leader of GEA (Unesp Audiovisual studies Group), member of GESCom (Communication?s Semiotic Study Group). Academic production is concentrated in research about social communications, television and semiotics in audiovisual language.
