Birthplace: Brazil

PhD in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery from the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP, 2019) in cooperation with the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Graduated with honors (Highest Distinction in Surgery) in Medicine at the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), receiving the Prof. Dr. Edmundo Vasconcelos Award. Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery. International experience at Harvard Medical School (USA), Maastricht University (Netherlands) and Imperial College London (United Kingdom). Dr. Liguori is engaged in the research line 'Technological Development and Morphological Integration of New Tissues in the Circulatory System', at the Laboratotory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication of the Heart Institute (InCor/HC-FMUSP). He is the founder and CEO of biotechnology startup TissueLabs Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento LTDA.
