L. C. Cagliari is graduate in Pedagogy and Philosophy from Instituto Salesiano de Pedagogia e Filosofia (1965), graduate in Neolatine Languages and Literatures from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (1966), graduate in Educational Studies from Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes (1972), master's in Linguistics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1974) and Ph.D. in Linguistics - Phonetics from University of Edinburgh (1977). He has experience in Linguistics, acting on the following subjects: literacy, teaching, writing systems, orthography, articulatory and acoustic phonetics, with particular reference to Portuguese. He was Professor of Phonetics and Phonology at UNICAMP / IEL - Linguistics (1972-2004) and Lecturer of Linguistics at Faculdade de Ciências e Letras UNESP / Araraquara (2005-2015). Now he is a retired Professor from UNICAMP and a Lecturer at UNESP university.. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
