Has an undergraduate degree in Molecular Sciences from Universidade de São Paulo (1998) and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Universidade de São Paulo (2001). Winner of the Bessel Research Award from the Humboldt Foundation (2016). A "Séminaire Bourbaki" had as its subject his joint work with P. Le Calvez (2020).
