Has a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from State University of Campinas (1985), master's in Food Engineering from State University of Campinas (1992) and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark (1998). As a lecturer of the Chemical Engineering Department of São Carlos Federal University since 1989, she has experience in the Chemical Engineering area, focusing on Biochemical Engineering, acting on the following subjects: vaccines production; recombinant protein production on E. coli cultures; studies of metabolism and physiology of E. coli and S. typhimurium; live bacterial vectors; use of agriculture wastes for 1st and 2nd generation ethanol production.
